Read through these first, then try the practice below.
Example 1 — Total coconuts
A farm has 25 coconut trees. If each tree gives 12 coconuts a month, how many coconuts in a month?
Solution: 25 × 12 = 300 coconuts.
Example 2 — Per tree
If 200 coconuts are shared equally among 8 baskets, how many per basket?
Solution: 200 ÷ 8 = 25 coconuts per basket.
