Example 1 — Add decimals
Add 3.45 and 2.7.
Solution: Line up the points: 3.45 + 2.70 = 6.15.
Example 2 — Compare decimals
Which is bigger: 0.6 or 0.59?
Solution: 0.6 = 0.60. 0.60 > 0.59, so 0.6 is bigger.
