Bar graphs let us compare values quickly. The taller the bar, the larger the value. We can also subtract heights to find a difference.

Example 1 — Reading a bar graph
Village A scored 60, B scored 75, C scored 50. Which village is cleanest?
Solution: Village B with 75.
Example 2 — Difference between bars
Village A scored 60 and Village C scored 50. How much higher is A?
Solution: 60 − 50 = 10.
